This Lowe Fabrication-developed kit converts your VB–VS Commodore to the later model VT–VZ style brake booster and master cylinder setup, improving braking feel, performance, and reliability.
Unlike old-school conversions that involve welding or modifying studs, this kit is bolt-in and engineer-friendly. We retain the integrity of the original genuine brake booster by modifying only the actuator rod — no hack jobs here. A professionally rebuilt and powedercoated brake booster is mated to a Lowe Fabrications billet adaptor bracket to correctly position your new upgraded booster and master in your early commodore engine bay.
At the heart of this kit is our patent-pending CNC-machined billet firewall bracket, designed in-house at Lowe Fab to ensure perfect fitment and long-term reliability for your VT Booster Conversion Kit including Master Cylinder Upgrade. Everything you need to perform the conversion is included — with optional brake line adapters available for early VB–VP vehicles.

Fitment Notes
The VT Brake Master Conversion Suits VB, VC, VH, VK, VL, VN, VP, VR, and VS Commodore models
If fitting to VR Series 2 or VS, do not use line adaptors
For new brake lines, we recommend flaring to suit the VT master cylinder instead of using adaptors

The original master cylinder doesn’t have enough internal volume to service the hydraulic needs of the larger, modern calipers and as such you will end up with an extrenely long pedal and have difficiculties stopping quickly.
The combination of the larger VT style master cylinder and brake booster offers the master cylinder volume you need to brake safely with the the appropriate pedal effort and feel!
